How BLOOM Helped Groenz Grow Visibility and a Lead Engine in HubSpot

Groenz is one of New Zealand's leading food manufacturing companies, producing the Frenchmaid and Kiwi Style ranges of sauces, dressings, and condiments, as well as bespoke flavours for the foodservice market.

BLOOM Transitions came on board with Groenz in early 2026 to work across SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), and HubSpot implementation.

The Challenge

Groenz had strong brand recognition within the foodservice industry but limited organic search presence outside of their own branded terms.

Product pages were not ranking for the category and ingredient keywords their buyers were using. And, their sales teams were managing leads through a patchwork of manual processes rather than a unified CRM.

What BLOOM Did

  1. 01.

    SEO and on-page optimisation

We conducted a full technical SEO audit and on-page optimisation across the Groenz and Frenchmaid product and category pages, targeting the commercial and informational keywords their foodservice buyers were searching. We focused on product pages for their highest-visibility ranges including Frenchmaid dressings, sauces, and condiments.

  2. 02.

    aEO and schema markup

We built structured FAQ content and implemented schema markup across key product and category pages to support AI citation alongside traditional search ranking - making Groenz content readable and citable by AI engines including Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

  3. 03.

hubspot landing pages & campaign support

We built HubSpot landing pages and sample request forms for Groenz's NPD and product campaigns, structured to reflect the premium brand positioning. Each campaign included a branded sample request form and a follow-up nurture workflow.

  4. 04.

    hubspot onboarding & crm set-up

We migrated the Groenz contact database into HubSpot, built business-unit segmentation across the product lines, and mapped out how new advertising leads route to the right sales representatives.

THE RESULTS...

IN 6 MONTHS

71.4% Increase in Search Visibility

SEMrush position tracking shows Groenz's overall search visibility at 38.64%, representing a 71.4% increase since BLOOM began work in early 2026.

  • 74

keywords in top 10, 63 IN TOP 3

Across 196 tracked keywords, GROENZ now has 74 ranking in the top 10 Google positions and 63 in the top 3.

  • New keywords entering at POSITION No.1

Several high-value keywords that weren't ranking entered search results at No.1:

  • Google AI Overviews triggered

"Contract food manufacturers NZ" now ranks position No. 1 with a Google AI Overview - meaning Groenz ranks first for a query that now triggers an AI Overview.

"Smokey BBQ sauce" also now triggers an AI Overview at position No.5.

  • Now visible in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity

When AI visibility tracking began, Groenz had a brand visibility score of zero across the major AI answer
engines. That score now sits at 18.98% overall: 16.66% in ChatGPT, 18.05% in Gemini, and 22.22% in Perplexity.

Groenz is now part of the answer when buyers ask AI tools about their category.

  • 23.93%

share of voice in AI answers

Across all tracked prompts, Groenz now holds 23.93% of brand mentions relative to competitors, up
    from 0% when tracking began.

  • Average position improved from 9.2 to 7.6 at peak

Google Search Console shows average position improving from 9.2 in January and February 2026 to 7.6 across March and April - Groenz's strongest search performance period in the data.

  • Daily traffic up 15%, CTR up from 5.13% to 5.93%

Average daily organic traffic increased by 15% between the January and February baseline and June and July. Click-through rate improved from 5.13% to 5.93% over the same period.

  • Record single-day traffic in April

In April 2026, groenz.co.nz recorded its highest single-day organic traffic in the six-month dataset, at an average search position of 4.4.

  • Sample requestS more than doubled

Monthly sample request submissions through the HubSpot campaign forms have grown every month
since launch, with June's volume more than double that of March, the first full month of campaign activity - a 138% increase. Each new lead is routed automatically to the right sales representative.

The largest visibility gains came on the buyer questions that matter most to Groenz's foodservice pipeline:

  • "Top custom sauce manufacturers for QSR chains in New Zealand?" - up 100%
  • "Which ambient sauce suppliers are best for New Zealand QSR chains?" - up 88.88%
  • "Best sauces and condiments suppliers for QSR chains in New Zealand?" - up 88.88%

What This Means

GROENZ came to BLOOM Transitions with strong products and an underperforming digital presence.

Six months on, they are ranking for the keywords their buyers are searching, appearing in AI-generated answers across Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
They're now also processing sample requests through a HubSpot system that routes leads to the right people automatically.

These AI visibility numbers matter because they started at zero. When foodservice buyers ask an AI engine who supplies sauces and condiments to QSR chains in New Zealand, Groenz is now in the answer. That is a channel their competitors are only beginning to think about.

The work is ongoing - more product pages to optimise, more keywords to target, more prompts to win, more campaign workflows to build. But the foundation is working.
